Imagine being so stupid you start celebrating your "Win" at the place you stole the ticket and your coworkers call you out and get you arrested. Glad it got caught and the dad gets the money he deserves

This has happened before, and in that previous case it was also an Indian who stole it.

So Patel is in jail w/$100k bond. He's a millionaire so he can easily afford to bond out. No, wait. Maybe not.

In California, you can literally scan the ticket on the CA Lottery app on our phones!!! If I'd won a large sum, I'd drive straight to the lottery headquarters in Sacramento, CA.

1:32 Better yet, *ALWAYS* write your name on the ticket before scratching anything.

I used to work in a convenience store and we would put out winning numbers slips for people to check their numbers. One day an elderly gentleman came in thinking he won and wouldn’t believe me that it was just an information slip. I printed off the same exact slip and handed to him. He walked out staring at both tickets. I wonder if he thought he won twice.
Don’t let the clerk check your tickets. There are a lot of stories of them stealing from winners. The lottery actually sends out agents with winning tickets to see if the clerk is honest.

Isn't there a reward for any clerk that sales a big winning lottery ticket. If this clerk had just been honest, he could have come away with some easy money. Instead, he's in jail.

The clerk's name is Meet Patel and he was born in New Jersey.

This type of lottery theft is ver common. Check your own tickets. Trust no one especially if money is involved.

The thief’s name is “MEET PATEL”😡
Once the crook goes to prison his name is going to be “MEAT N’TAIL”🤔

I have no idea why in this day and age people would need to consult with the cashier regarding their prize. here in Canada the amount of the prize pops up visually so you can see it

When I first started playing I didn’t know how it worked… once I turned 4numbers plus mega number and clerk gave me a replay ticket so fast I couldn’t react. Yrs later now that I know how to play I know I got played

Just make all these dumb games machine dispensed only. Anyone who isn't slow enough to waste their time and money on them hates dealing with the hassle of the lottery people. The stores don't profit from them enough to justify wasting an employees time.
