This is what I understand about rusty lakes timeline

We will start with the island the island was a cult and James mother sacrificed herself to the lake so Jacob could survive
Years later Jacob returns but there are 10 plauges on the island and he needs to get the corrupted memories of his mother and give them to the lake through the owl tower Jacob has a brother(mr rabbit) a sister (mrs pheasant) a grandma (Mrs pigeon) and his father (mr deer) after 9 plauges Jacob goes into a tower and the family is dressed in white cloth with the mask of their respective animals
They sacrifice James to the lake but he ascends and likely does the paradox trial which I think is what the leaders of the lake go through to prove their worth


Mr crow and his brother they were the Vanderboom brothers they were alchemists and they figured out the formula for life
Aldous tells his brother William (sorry if I get some of these names wrong it’s been a while since I played rusty lake)William dies from the formula Aldous drinks it and ascends into a higher life form mr crow.

Mr owl is Jacob And continues the build the lake


Meanwhile William vanderboom’s nephew comes to the lake and opens up the house of his uncle
He meets Mary and proposes to her and has 3 children with her and he also brung a dog to rusty lake who importance will be expanded on later he has 3 children Albert, Emma and Samuel they have a bad childhood with their father dying to elixir of life after giving to his dog first giving the dog immortality and making him die Samuel and Emma bully Albert making him hate them Samuel becomes a carpenter and one day he meets Ida nèe Reiziger and Marrys her.Ida then foretells of a great tragedy to the family and then has a son with Samuel meanwhile Emma becomes a painter I think and has a child called Frank when Frank was a kid Albert lured frank to the well in the garden and throws him into it .Then Emma stricken with grief after her son thought to be dead was actually down the well beyond her knowledge and she hangs herself meanwhile while they are taken a family photo Albert kills Mary, Samuel and Rose and takes a egg out of Rose and puts into a tube all this time the ghost of William vanderboom the one you play as has been collected body parts from each deceased member of the family and hides them in the elixir chamber Albert after killing everyone except Leonard makes Rose from his own stuff and incubates Rose in a chamber Rose learns of the ritual and saves frank from the well and he and Leonard collect the coins of the gate to .Leonard gets a coin from war I think these coins are obtained by extremely important points in time the gold coin the coin of the future the silver the present and bronze the past.


This ritual is then performed by Rose reincarnated William into Laura .(I’ll talk about dale later)
