Ha, thought this was going to be a re-release of the original Tatsu game (which I love) or a tie in property. So strange to find out it's unrelated.

Another trick-taking game to add to my Wishlist. I guess at this point I'm going to be the "trick-taking guy" at weekly board game night.

It's a bit weird to call a game 'Tatsu' in english when there's already a game of this name, even if out of print.
Can't put my finger on why it's weird to me... it's like, you need a reason to allow a bgg search to find both your game and another game..

In the US: Can’t copyright a name. It wouldn’t even have common law trademark because “Tatsu” means dragon and both games are about dragons - you cannot trademark something the describes the good being sold. Ie: you can’t trademark a brand Pie for pie goods. Maybe you can TM “Apple Pie” and only sell pear pies. Maybe someone can make an argument that tatsu is not in the English language…though the US doesn't even have an official language.

Naming your game the same as an already published game is both scummy AND stupid because the other game may choose to protect its copyright forcing you to change the name.
