Baby Seal With Overgrown Entanglement

The OCN team are patrolling at Pelican Point. They have split into two groups. Denzil has caught an entangled baby seal with an already overgrown entanglement. The rescuers remove it quickly and scan for more entangled animals. Wally spots and secures another one in the same group, he is entangled in some unknown plastic loop. The entanglement is tight but has not caused much damage yet, and the seal is strong. The rescuers take off the entanglement and the seal rushes to the ocean. 🦭

One of the seal's had a cellphone set to alert but, of course, the alert sounded AFTER those pesky intruders had already infiltrated the colony. Thank goodness! And thanks OCN team!!

Jeez, that awful thin line causes so much damage to the 1st pup that Denzel caught. Wally respectfully removing it slowly without hurting him 🥺 is truly compassionate. Thank you Team OCN for saving as many pup's and seal's 🦭. 👏🌎🌊🎣🥰😘👍

That first little guy looked like he wasn’t sure what happened, but he took that deep breath while looking around at you guys. He had this look like, “ Well, they let me go and I can breathe... guess I will go for a swim!”
I think they must know that you are helping them, even though it is in their nature to fear and run and fight to get free.
One day I hope there will be clean oceans and responsible humans, but until then, it makes me so glad you are there!

Quite a different look today. No mad rush to the sea with seals climbing over each other to get away from the rescuers. Great work, guys, especially getting there in time for the 1st seal. ❤🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😊
