Hey terrasteel, in the newest update, echanted sundial and moondial now reset on blood moon/solar eclipse, meaning its better to get the blood moon/ solar eclipse as it allows you to skip the time each time it happened

I unironically used the Fin Wings in my “no crafting” playthrough, as they were the only early hard mode wings that didn’t need crafting.

I have used these, one of those "oh I guess I got these this playthrough" items. I never hunted for them, just got them trying to get angler gear. Saved me some mild grinding.

While quest fishing for the cellphone ingredients (i know, i'm a masochist), I randomly got Fin Wings from Angler. All I remember thinking was "oh cool, a rare quest item. welp, time to store it in one of my unorganized chest and never think about it ever again!"

Honestly, I never even knew the Fin Wings existed up until now. They are just so hard to obtain compared to other wings at that tier.

Probably would have been better as a Hard Mode fishing item from just fishing or creates. Fishing quests are for more special items like fish finder parts, sponges, and endless buckets.

Keep in mind that you might have at least 30 quests already if you did the grind in Pre-HM, getting the Golden Fishing Rod and all the previous guaranteed drops, even more if you had to do extras to roll for Fish Finder and Tackle Bag accessories, so you could take an increasing chance each day that you still have spare fish (you did store fish in another container to get multiple quest fish a day, right?) to get Fin Wings while you grind for the remaining items to craft actual wings, and if you get lucky, sweet!.

I always wanted these to go with the fish vanity set for my fishing build (yes I actually like fishing)
But the trials you have to go through to obtain it are just so much

A lot of the time when I play with friends or my partner i’ll take the game very slowly, which inevitably means a lot of free time between boss fights. Sometimes i’ll build, sometimes grind, but sometimes, yes, i’ll fish! I have gotten the fin wings on one or two occasions and was quite fond of their performance!

Fin wings are so unused by anyone I don't even know when they were even added into the game.

They're one of those items you never intentionally grind for but if they happen to drop at a convenient moment you might as well. I don't think they ever dropped for me before I had better wings though.

Here’s a fun topic that more people should hear about, gladiator armor!!!! Ranger has fossil and mage has gem robes and jungle armor. Melee has no good armor pre boss, except gladiator! The defense is low but the set bonus makes it worth it. Immunity to knock back is super helpful against bosses and can prevent the brain/worm from knocking you around

i picked these up on my very first playthrough through RNG while getting hardmode crates and doing fishing quests. i don't use the wings any more but they still hold a very special place in my first every Terraria playthrough helping me through the mech bosses till i upgraded the wings.

I usually in every playthrough fish a bit for good potion fish.
In one or two playthroughs, I got the Fin wings and they were quite helpful.

Frozen wings have always been my go-to, tend to get them while farming for frost cores because I like that armor set.
