What method is being used to water seal the edges?

Is it composite/plastic "stone"?
You should caulk around the edges. I always carry some clear silicone and a caulk gun.

Question when the cover breaks off can you only replace the front portion of box it does the entire box have to be replaced. You should show the NEC requirement of sealing all cables & wires transition from a warm to cold environment.

The inner flange needs to be cut off or recessed. Formers or siding guys should have mounted them flush for you before the brick was set.
