I think this also fits for something else - I have a MASSIVE lore dump coming next session - and I feel like this is THE perfect music for when it all hits the players. The tracks this channel puts out are always good, but this one is really impressive. I didn't have a place for the music in my current campaign when I started the song, but in the first three minutes I already had the bones of an entirely new town based on the vibe growing in my head. I can't wait to finish it and find a pretext to get the players there!

It's on the outskirts of a very wealthy city. The rich and powerful built a white marble wall and forced the poor into it; the poor are allowed out to do work, but can't live anywhere else but inside that wall. I don't have an "official" name for it yet, but the poor folk living inside call it "The Collar"... Partly because it looks all shiny and nice on the outside, but has a lot of dirt and grime within, like the collar of a shirt; but mostly because it's extremely constricting, but just loose enough not to choke the one inside it.

That seems a *lot* more dystopian and grim in print than it was in my head, lol.

My players have just discovered, in the Wake - the World Behind the Curtain - the remnants of a kingdom, lost to war in an age long forgotten, the leftover echo of its ruined capital a place of anguish, melancholy, and longing of the forsaken spirits for the queen that once was their beacon of hope.

This is now this kingdom's BGM.

I was mapping out my campaign and I JUST got to the part where a Yeenaghu cult overruns the peaceful, quaint town the party had made their home, forcing them to abandon and flee for their lives.
(This is the plan, anyway.)
