i run a black luster solider envoy of the beginning, Number 88: Gimmick puppet of Leo, Number 92: Heart-eartH dragon and a Cloudcastle in this deck and I have never lost with it. my friend dueled me and pulled off this strategy where he had Dna surgery(where he turned everything into dragons) and a dragon shield on both Horus the black flame dragon lvl 8 and Sorcerer of dark magic with an imperial wall active, he stopped all my spells and traps and prevented me from banishing with my luster, and it was by using leo that allowed me to win since maiden and azure eyes made it easy to get blue eyes out

Ever think about using Wonder Wand?  Equip it to Maiden (means she is targeted), summon Blue Eyes, tribute Maiden and Wonder Wand, draw two cards.  Just a thought.

Ds is one butt kicking deck specially if azure is summoned succesfully bcoz of its immunity effect for 2 turns, more if summon other 2 copies of azure consecutively b4 the other fades its immunity.. Im also using ds kind of deck but there's the tym that i depend on one "BEWD" equipped w/ 3 copies of "rider of the storm winds".. Whenever i able to do it my opponent doesn't know if they will set their monsters 2 atk or def position but more often they doesn't set to def pos to avoid triple dmg. Sample if "BEWD" equip w/ "RoSW" atk a def pos monster w/ 1500 def, 1500 dmg will b inflicted to the opponent.. In total 4500 dmg for 3 copies of "RoSW", it's like u made a direct atk w/ blue eyes ultimate dragon.. In addition "BEWD" have triple immunity from being destroyed.

I think a Red-Eyes Darkness Metal Dragon would be really good cause a good combo play would be if maiden is on the field and you have a Red-Eyes and bright star dragon in your hand summon it and target maiden get a blue-eyes from your hand, deck, graveyard and then banish bright star dragon from the field and special Red-Eyes and then you could special summon another dragon type monster from you hand or graveyard  I would think ha

This is a nice deck. Why don't you run Darkness Metal Dragon or Lightpulsar Dragon to loop their effects?

Use decoy dragon to bring back blue eyes from your grave wait till next turn summon a lv1 tuner then go for star eater

Are your cards laminated or in a protective case? What are you using to protect them, because I've been trying to decide what is the best thing to do to protect my cards.

what about magic planter since when you sync fiendish / call of the haunted get stuck on the field as well as red-eyes darkness metal?

Have you thought about running Ancient Sacred Wyvern yet, to go for an OTK?
Or maybe run a Divine Dragon Knight Felgrand xyz? I know those are pricy cards, but I say they're highly worth it.
