I travel to the ancient volcanic lands of Leicestershire to track down some of the elusive Leicestershire english gold.

Clicked immediately because I live in Leicestershire, then I started recognising where you were, but you kept saying Badon hill and I thought, I have never heard of it, until I realised when I saw the Quarry that you were at Bardon hill, just up the road from me, I'm in Bagworth, I love living here and I'm going to go gold spotting from now on on my walks 😄

Thringstone woods has a stream going through it and its quite big loads of wood land rocks and water etc and a pub the man in compass just down the rd

Some of the oldest fossils in the world were found in Leicestershire. The Charnia was discovered in the Charnwood Forest area (that is where Charn in Charnia is from). Local legend has it that it was discovered by a classmate of Sir David Attenborough.

Make sure you check your self for ticks after walking through that bracken. You don’t want Lymes disease, you’re screwed if you get that to a life of agony.

I love going on hunting adventures, I been travelling uk for over 15 years looking for treasures metal detecting but would love to give gold panning a go, I did get the basic panning gear a couple years ago but never got out to use it.. one day....
