Civil Rights Stories You've Never Heard About | Unpacked

The Black community continued to face discrimination under the racist Jim Crow laws in the South which led to the civil rights movement. Jews across the United States, by overwhelming majority, joined the cause to end segregation and supported the civil rights cause. The partnership between the communities was, in some ways, epitomized by the little-known story of Esther Swirk Brown, a Jewish homemaker from Kansas City, and her legal crusade to end school segregation

Disclaimer: While Jews are a diverse, multi-racial people, in this video when we speak about the interactions between the Black community and the Jewish community we are speaking about Ashkenazi Jews.

About Explainers: From ancient Jewish traditions to the modern State of Israel, we explain it all. Diving into anything and everything related to Jewish culture, history, and even religion. Understand Jewish holidays, Israeli politics, Jewish diasporic communities, and more. Learn about Judaism in pop culture, debunking myths about Jews, and explore obscure Israeli landmarks. We’re asking questions as basic as “What is the Talmud?”, and as obscure as “How did hip-hop boost Kosher wine sales?”, and everything in between.

About Unpacked: We provide nuanced insights by unpacking all things Jewish. People are complex and complicated — yet we’re constantly being pushed to oversimplify our world. At Unpacked we know that being complex makes us more interesting. Because of this, we break the world down with nuance and insight to drive your curiosity and challenge your thinking.

The Jewish people have been supportive of Black's- our thanks has been Farrakhan, Jesse Jackson and AL Sharpton to name a few. I would love to see Black Americans stand up for Jews.

There was never a large Jewish support of the black community in the civil rights movement, because they were seen as white and dud not want to lose their privilege and I understand that but let’s stop pushing this lie on the black communty. Do black Americans constantly bring up our fight in World War II ? Because it seems like we’re being told that we owe our support. After WW2 black men came home still facing the same racism, we did during the war and before and I can’t find any real evidence of wide spread support from the American Jewish community.

Enough justifying judaism and jewish people. Anybody got a problem with us - raise your fists. The world needs a reminder of who we are.

Deuteronomy 28:46 says that Signs would be upon the Israelites for breaking Gods commandments. These signs prove who the Israelites are today. The so called blacks, Hispanics and native Americans have numerous signs upon us. Example.
"United States v. Schooner Amistad, 40 U.S. (15 Pet.) 518 (1841), was a United States Supreme Court case resulting from the rebellion of Africans on board the Spanish schooner La Amistad in 1839."
Now Deuteronomy 28:68 says that we would be taken into slavery by way of SHIPS 🚢! So why aren't the so called African Americans being taught that we are the Israelites according to the bible??🧐🧐

I studied before that if a convert becomes a Jew he is still not allowed to marry an already born Jewish woman from the faith only a convert is allowed to marry another convert in Judaism but what is the difference because a convert is just as equal as a born Jew I don't know maybe this is not true but I studied this maybe someone else can tell me something different and if this is so that is definitely racist period 🤯🤔
