Featured here on display is a 1965 Ford Cortina GT.
The Cortina was introduced in late 1962 and the GT followed in 1963. It shared the 1500cc Kent 'Cross Flow' engine with the Cortina 1500 Super but power was increased from 60 BHP to 78 BHP.
Another feature of the GT was lowered suspension over the DeLuxe and Super.
This featured car has been prepared for Classic Rallying and has period aftermarket Minilite style alloy wheels.
Mk1 Cortina production was ended in 1966 and succeeded by the Cortina Mk2.

UK version of GT didn't have the side chrome trim, this must be a export model, my 66GT was the same colour, red with black stripe. Very nice to see an oldie survive and being used.
