You gotta love the Stags' fanbase. Everyone is standing around in their jersey, beer in hand, sporting a glorious mullet. The team celebrating with their fans after the game. This is grassroots rugby. This is how it's supposed to be. Not some empty arena where you can hear the players shouting instead of the fans.

A couple of really nice touches from the Southland 12. There’s the cross kick assist for the second try. But there’s also that accurate pass on the inside going away from where his body is moving 1:37 which is really impressive.

Good to see Faletoi finally get a crack at ITM. He had a strong game for Southland, hopefully many more games to come for the AKL talent!

Memories driving home to Invercargill from a beach day in Riverton listening to Southland vs. Otago on the radio in 2001, I was 6 years old. That rivalry was the only NPC game that really mattered to me.

Have been out of Southland for the past 20 years but still absolutely love seeing the joy in the crowd on a day like that. Keep it up boys!
