That comparison is really lacking, Apple and Twitter are not based on cryptography.

Quantum computing will kill bitcoin but a new coin will merge that is quantum resistant. expect a huge fallout and bitcoin the day they discover quantum has been stealing some of their coins

All kinds of cryptography is threatened by quantum computing, but then again, who will have functional quantum computers? Big corporations and Nation States.
So the threat will be from Nation States mostly because big corporations depend on construct of economy, countries like china, NK, Iran, US, Russia will do anything to meet their political ends.

Quantum Computer is good at solving a certain type of problems. It can crack current security because the type of encryption we use is something that it can solve. However, there are other ways to encrypt information. There will be a massive security patch, but that is about it.

Bitcoin is not effected by Quantum Computing. It uses a combination of different types of encryption. I am sure the original author of the bitcoin saw it coming. Bitcoin is safe.
