Chris Hemsworth being cast against type as a villain is something i'm looking forward too. If you're doubting him as a villain, please see the underrated movie, Bad Times At The El Royale. Hemsworth can definitely play a villain perfectly!

the campaign is not against female lead movies, its against bad movies that they think you should support just because its lead by a woman, but they dont know the target audiense... so guys doesnt like it and women doesnt like it either... this one, as a male that loves action movies, this looks awesome...

People liked Furiosa cause she was actually, you know a pretty good well writen female characters. People even liked Alita.

Unlike some other female characters and one which recently gave Marvel their biggest flop 😂.

Rebel Moon and Furiosa are about to do so well, Hollywood will be forced to realise that female leads aren't the problem, terribly written characters are - female or male.

There never was a "campaign against female led movies". Grace's business brain pops out of the Hollywood bubble every once in a while but her heart keeps pulling her back in. But while she and others keeps repeating the narrative and Hollywood keeps destroying male led franchises, I do wonder if at some point the mythical "campaign against female led movies" becomes reality. I do agree that this might not be the right time to release this movie.

I don't think the backlash is about female lead roles so much but more likely poorly written stories with females in those lead roles. A well written story is likely to do well with almost anyone in the lead role.

I don't think there's a campaign against female-led movies. Barbie was female-led. You can't expect people to spend their hard earned money on a movie that is not good or entertaining. Even male-led movies suffer on that front

Looks okay. My two minor gripes are that the CGI looks too obvious compared to Fury Road, and Anya Taylor-Joy doesn't look a thing like Charlize Theron in face, physicality, or presence, even accounting for the fact that she's playing a younger version. She looks like she'd be a Bride even with the amputation and the muck. It's those delicate elfin features. Theron was much more blunted and earthy compared to Taylor-Joy's sharp ethereal essence. I had to keep reminding myself that they're supposed to be the same person.

My major gripe is that I don't want a PREQUEL. I want to see Furiosa in a new adventure that progresses her further forward, not regresses her to a point before the whole arc we just saw her take in the last movie, and played by a different person to boot.

There's a difference between poorly written female characters and magnificently written female characters. Furiosa is not poorly written.. we dont troll, we just appreciate good writing

Charlize Theron brought so much to the character but Anya Taylor Joy is an amazing actress and I can’t wait to see this
