That's exactly how Archbishop Lefebvre saw it, he did it to save the church as an emergency contingency plan, he hoped the SSPX wouldn't be needed for much longer than 40 years. He acted like a true and honourable General in Christ's Army.

Anthony, Archbishop Viganò is the LeFebvre of our day and age! The truly faithful are gathering around this Sacred Prelate and owning his words, because he is manifesting himself to be one of the great hero's of the end times! His words are so concisely spot on with regards to each point of address he contends as to make my spirit swell with the fire of exhilaration in defending the Honor Of Holy Mother Church, My Lady and My Lord!!! And I can feel myself being led by You, by Michael Boris, by Raymond Arroyo, by Dr. Taylor Marshall and Michael Matt and by the several others who keep their eyes on the horizon from whence cometh our help! I've been just recently inclined to denounce my own parish for its lax address of the original rites, so polluted is it by the Novus Ordo, and even moreso by the purview of the present pastor who thinks Bergolio is just terrific. But I got word the other day from another priest in the parish, my preferred go to priest for confession and whom I asked to be my spiritual director, and with whom I'd taken into confidence about certain perspectives that it seemed our pastor had, and he told me that my prayers must be powerful as the pastor has been transferred to a different town!!!

When I was five years old. My father and I always attend mass.
The mass we used to attend was the Latin mass the same mass which the Sspx was celebrating.
That year is 1960's
So the Sspx in my personal opinion
will be the true remnant in this last days
Sspx will never join the one world religion of pope francis

I have prayed so many times that someday a bishop who's not part SSPX will speak up to defend the SSPX. And I thank God He has given us another Archbishop. When the deceiving devils were fighting against God, Archangel Michael stood up against them and asked "Who is like God?". It is rightfully that God gave us Archbishops to stood up against these deceivers and innovators and asked them "Which Church is like Christ?".

Being a 1975 convert to the SSPX from the Methodist I would have it no other way but the TLM.
My father-in-law always said their was smoke of a Satin in the church since 1969 and he was he was right in going to the SSPX way back then !🙏🙏🙏

Anthony, I think you might be misunderstanding the part where Archbishop Viganò refers that we must not rebel but oppose to authorities that abuse their power, when you take it as a reference against those who consider that the Sede is vacant based on the Canon Law and Catechisms (which is a Catholic teaching, by the way, that heretics are excommunicated Latae Sententiae, thus, out of the Church until they repent, ergo, no authority would occupy the position in the meantime and there wouldn’t be someone to be rebel against), because those known as Sedevacantists don’t rebel against Papacy, by the contrary, they believe that there might be a future valid Pope as well as Archbishop Viganò, and I interpret his words more like a call to not go out of the Church of Christ by falling into the temptation of loosing faith that a valid Papacy might come or even going to the Protestantism where the Papacy is no longer taken into consideration. More specifically, Archbishop Viganò refers to the case when the authorities (not only Popes but also priests, according to the text) abuse of their power, which is possible without falling in heresy, schism or apostasy and therefore without bringing excommunication Latae Sententiae upon themselves, and even those who consider that the Sede is vacant in a “de facto” mode, must recognize their authority but oppose to said abuses, praying for those pastors and calling their attention in a respectful manner, e.g: when they deny communion in tongue or in your knees, or when they close a Seminary with abundant vocations because seminarians try to stay Catholics by refusing heterodox practices, etc., which aren’t heresies and don’t bring excommunication to the offenders and by consequence they keep their authority positions and stay within the Church, though they must be resisted and corrected in a fraternal way. Wow! I can understand why some people would want to avoid this. It's heavy duty, and yet quite hopeful in the plain language used to answer a number of questions. I think I'll listen a few more times in order to glean as much as possible. I am certainly pleased you have a way to pass it on as a blessing to those of us in such need of hearing solid truth. Is there another word for rock besides Cephas or Peter? Right now the Archbishop and those who are sharing his words are being "rocks" for the rest of us; though I must say my "own" pastor is pretty rock solid himself, but I suspect he is more ostracized than he lets on. I wonder if he hears anything from the Archbishop.
The rules are changing on Facebook on Oct 1, I understand. I'm not sure what all it's going to mean, but it is sounding like even most of the poetry I post may no longer be allowed, even as they allow some of the disgusting things I've seen. It worries me because it almost sounds like the violence in the streets, and the refusal to allow people to speak their minds, may now be actively moving into public platforms; not just FB, and Twitter, but now YT. Dr. Marshall is getting hammered, especially now that he is encouraging his listeners to vote for Trump. Things are getting sticky, yet the Archbishop seems to sense that while at the same time he's speaking out more and more. It sounds like a call to sainthood, even martyrdom. There is an echo of that in what you've been saying, as well, Anthony. Maybe not in so many words, nevertheless the echo is there. We need those who put out the call in order to remember we are still a community of Catholics, however small we may seem to be.
