I made this two days ago. I was dumbfounded with how delicious this was—only because the recipe is so simple and fast. At first, the spice was too much—and I love spicy. But then, I had another chip with it. Then another. The heat was intense, but I couldn’t get enough. This is not hyperbole. Make this salsa and you will make it time and time again. I’m addicted.

I tried to make this on a whim last week and was trying to figure out how to fix the watery consistency without cooking it down in a saucepan. I'll have to try throwing in an avocado now! Thanks as always Rick!!

Thank you!! I've been buying this as a guilty pleasure ($$) from my local Mexican grocery but now I can make it myself. Hoping to get a bumper crop from my 5 tomatillo plants this year. No garlic in it...that's a surprise.

Chicken broth is a secret ingredient as well in place of water. Or Knorr.

Made it with one paper lantern pepper which is red and one jalapeno and 4 tomatillos all fresh out of the garden hand full of cilantro, water and 2 Small avocados. Added the salt, finely chopped onions at the end. It came out nice and spicy but it was just a little bland so I ended up sprinkling in some garlic powder and cumin and it came out great. Now letting it sit in the fridge overnight and I bet it's slappin tomorrow.

I make a fresh Tomatillo salsa with no avocado. I use a habanero for heat and color contrast. I use a small food processor and leave it a little chunky. It's awesome.
