My vote for the #5 pick is creamy herbal!! I want to smell like a harvest goddess... wheat, fennel, fenugreek, sesame, caraway, bran, rye... but done in a feminine creamy way, something Persephone and Demeter would appreciate

In early/mid May, there's an Arboretum in Boston that has a lilac festival. They have a collection of over 400 lilacs. And it is so amazing smelling all the different varieties. Some are grapey, some are soapy, some powdery, some are more like Lily. It's one of my favorite festivals!!

Never could get on board with the common use of the "fresh" moniker. Or "clean" for that matter. The latter could or should technically smell like nothing and the former either new or aromatic. But fresh poo is still fresh. 😂 I suppose the reluctance for specificity could be the result of desiring efficiency, simplicity or a degree of placation? Either way, it's certainly one way to avoid thinking. 🤭 My choice for accord of the year - anything from the conifer family. 🌲 Knew greens were going to make a comeback eventually and this could be the year. Teas and herbs can easily be paired with citruses and woody ambers, but me wants more juniper, cypress and pine. Already have a sample of Josh Meyer's The Language of Glaciers on the way. Ps, your voice sounds beautiful Maria. Always has. 🧡🖤

Interested in observing & learning from you as you continue your research & testing on all of these trends ❤

I’ve been looking for a floral, leather that would transport me back to the sunny equine western show days of youth spent rubbing balsam into my tack, grooming my horse until his fur & hooves gleamed, blooming clover, sweet alfalfa❤ I have Cuir Ottoman, but it’s just a bit too soft. Still looking for the right one.

I love your intellectual videos! My vote is for ambrette

Agrestic accords will be the trend since we see a lot of natural perfumery getting more bold and creative or noses reimagining a bucolic lifestyle or scene through these fantasy accords

This was such an interesting video and I am here for all the notes and accords you discussed! 👏 have you tried Narcisse Taiji from Atelier Materi? That came to my mind when you were talking about the floral soft leather

Woo hoo! Just received my Miller Harris La Fumee. Straight up church incense. Love it. I have another incense favorite called Wazamba. I'm not looking at the bottle now so I don't remember who makes it. It is based frankincense from Somalia. I love lilacs. Smelling lilacs in the springtime is awesome. I will be on the lookout for a good lilac fragrance. I love Fragonard! One suggestion for tea is the entire line from Floraiku. Of course the great darling is One Umbrella For Two. Tea based fragrances are tough on me. So is the smell of fermented rice. Floraiku seems to infuse both in its perfume line. I also think the rice and tea plus black current will be more popular in 2024. I have no recommendations for optimal fragrance. Oh, but wait. personally, I would like to see more coming out of the continent of Africa besides the frankincense and myrrh and other resinous incense fragrances. Baobab fruit appears in a lot of cosmetics for its moisturizing effect. It has a citrus note close to Yuzu. It might be nice to replace the litchi trend with baobab paired with a rich nut or seed like sesame or macadamia nut. Something yummy but short of full on gourmand.

Try Perseide from Adi Ale Van. It fits your description perfectly for a feminine, soft, floral leather.

I really have the feeling that incense is used so well in Amouage that is not necessarily referencing church or other spiritual contexts.
I did not like it but new New Look by Dior is also doing something different.... Combined with aldehydes, it has really different quality and is very cooling/clean

Masha, to me that Lanvin Oxygene is a dupe of your favorite Intimately Beckham! That's why you like it :)

Comme des garçons RED was a rhubarb take of an incense without any religious reference

What is your opinion on Roberto cavali imperial hyacinth, I feel this as a very sexy perfume, that gets very close to the flower smell, but it is leathery, musky. I got a ton of compliments on it.
As another question, how personal pH make some people retain perfume longer that others.
I for example, can have the smell on my skin for days, and my husband in 3 hours does not have any smell at all, even thou he sprays half a bottle at a time 😂
