I was raised Buddhist a sect from Japan. Amd the practices in my beliefs are extremely similar to the hermetic principles . Buddhism came from ancient India from the shakamuni bhudda who wrote the -bhuddist sutras. I study the lotus sutra which is for the ladder day. This is very interesting that the philosophy in the kybolion and the sutras are very much the same concepts as hermetisism

No. The Corpus Hermeticum is the actual source material and the Kybalion is just a modern, masonic destillation of some principles that can be concluded from that source.

This guy has it all mixed up. Hermes was a greek interpretation of the Egyptian belief system of Thoth. The kyballion was written around the year 1900 which is an interpretation of the hermetica that was the ancient roman interpretation of the ancient greek philosophy.

Hermetica was written by the Egyptians. The library of Alexandria was mostly filled with hermetic texts. Over 30, 000 works were written under the name Hermes Trismegistus. The Library fire was a scam, the works are in the archives of the Catholic Church. The Greeks copied the Hermetica and the Egyptians were unhappy because the Greeks used too many words to describe one thing whereas the Egyptians used one word to describe much. When a Greek copy of the Hermetica was found a Byzantine monk who had been translating the works of Plato switched and translated the Hermetica.

It's just a literation of the laws of nature explained in a very basic way. It will not help you in any way that really matters. It is for some, (the intellectually prideful) and those blinded by scientific materialism, a stagnant religion void of any heart. Pride is the root of selfishness which is the cause of all human suffering and poverty so it is written"humble thyself, deny thyself" in a much greater book.
