If I got that wrong I would have memory problems with how many times I have heard about the Titanic and watched the movie. My 6th-grade teacher was a Titanic nut and I, of course, love the movie Titanic and have watched it more times than I can count.

Knew it cold. Then again, I'm a major Titanic fan, and remember vividly when they found the thing in 1985.

I had a feeling that “Titanic” wasn’t the correct response lol

I knew (from Gillian Welch's song "Ruination Day, " ha!) that the Titanic sank on the 14th, but I didn't know the name of the rescue ship, alas.

I went with Titanic. I thought it could be the ship that rescued it, but didnt know the ship name. I do now, though.

I knew it had to be ABOUT the Titanic, but NOT the Titanic itself because 700 people is way too few for that big ship. While I had no clue about the name of the ship, I take solace in the fact that I was on the right track haha

Said it LITERALLY just a few seconds after I saw the clue! One of the easiest Final Jeopardys ever (for me at least)!

If I got that wrong, I’d be drummed out of the Steamship Historical Society!

Any time a clue has "1912" and "ship" its always Titanic related. Making the clue about the Carpathia is a nice curve ball

Lightolier was also the guy who said the Titanic never split in two, upon sinking, despite everyone in the life boats saying it did. It was later confirmed by RV.

Knew it from the date, REALLY knew it from Lightoller. lol

What is the RMS Carpathia? is the correct response.

As a huge Titanic buff, I said Titanic at first, but after reading the answer again and seeing the date, I said the correct question before time was up. It goes to show that you don't want to act too quickly. Many contestants got burned doing that.

Even so, this is not the first time on this show I've seen someone incorrectly say the RMS Lusitania (which was torpedoed and sunk in May 1915) when naming the Titanic's rescue ship. As for the subject of today's Final Jeopardy! question, she too would be torpedoed and sunk in July 1918.

I ought to know the Carpathia. My great grandparents came here from Ireland on her maiden voyage to Boston. My grandfather was transported to the U.K. on her when he was in the army in WWI. My uncles died on the Titanic and my grandmother was born on April 15 1912 and told us the story of what happened the day she was born a thousand times.

I know it! Nice redirect answer; the date says everything.

Being a Titanic bufc really helped here. Knew the answer before the timer started.

What is the Carpathia? (First Final Jeopardy clue I knew instantly)

What a coincidence, this question just a few weeks after my interest in Titanic started.

As a Titanic fan, I had to re-read the clue because my first thought was the Titanic before I realized it was the Carpathia they were looking for.

I had just rewatched the movie Titanic but I misspelled and said
"what is the Carnathia?" O well.
