Yes I believe that looks matter.. When I look good. I feel good and it is effortless to be nicer to the people around you.. You are so happy and your patience is extended because u feel good in the inside out. What I noticed about animals, when they're in normal or happy condition they groom themselves esp cats.. I know when a cat is depressed or feeling ill if it neglect grooming itself.. Cats dont like being dirty when they're in a normal state.. What's more of us humans to act responsible and put some work to our looks.

This is true. When I’m at work and don’t dress nice I feel less confident and professional. Same with when I go out. If I don’t put effort I’m more quiet and to myself and feel shy because I’m not the best version of myself

I’ve been bullied at jobs because I dress nice and wear makeup, guys would constantly say I am high maintenance and always say “they want someone natural and can get their hands dirty” 🤦🏼‍♀️ I wore 3 inch closed toe heels to work and everyone picked at me the entire day. My family picks on me too because I try to put myself together and always like to look nice, in my experience even when I dress nice and wear heels to feel good it’s caused more drama and made me feel worse about myself 😢
