Item number 9 is for dice rolling. They are popular for people who play D&D as it's portable area to roll dice in so your dice doesn't escape. I imagine it can be used for all sorts of dice-oriented games.

Way back in the 70s, we'd go to KMart to the birthday aisle and buy all this cheap plastic stuff to put in goody bags to give to the guests at kids' birthday parties, . The comb and the compact reminds me of that stuff. It was cheap tat then, it's even more-so now.

For box number 9: I don't know about other countries, but in Italy it is a fairly common object that we call a "pocket emptier": for example, you put it on a piece of furniture near the entrance to your house and it is used to put keys, coins, etc. ...when you enter the house.
