How to Use Wifi DIrect

For some reason even though I've succeeded to connect 2 devices using WIFI-direct, I can't see the item in the sharing-list ...
How come?
I've connected Galaxy S3 (I9300) and a Nexus 4 .

Thank you this is very helpful. I have the Galaxy Note 2 phone and the Note 10.2 tablet. Note one difference for people using the Galaxy Note 2 phone, the WiFi direct is located in a different spot on the phone. It is located in Settings>Wi-Fi and on the bottom of the page is a button that says WiFi direct. On the Note 2 it is NOT located under Settings>More Settings as shown on the video. Hope this helps the Note 2 users! And yes I realize he used the Galaxy s3 in the video. Thanks for showing!

You can do it without using WiFi direct... You can use Application called WiFi File transfer from google play...

Wi-Fi Direct is not listed under Settings/More Settings on my Galaxy Tablet 2, 10.1. Any idea how to make it appear?

Why would you do this the long / hard way?

The Tab 10.1 and the Note both have NFC, and both support the S Beam / Android Beam. Just tap the phones together and bam, transferred. 0 config needed.
