When Ron Paul couldn’t get any traction in his bid for president and was mocked and shoved aside by the mainstream media and other politicians, that’s when I lost all faith in the possibility that we as a nation are willing to be brave and elect people who truly care about this country and want to do the right thing.

It didn’t have to be Ron. It could be anybody who is honest and has integrity and character. But the fact that he was so quickly dismissed told me all I needed to know about where we are as a people.

Remember this. We deserve the leaders that we elect. Sit in your armchair and complain all you want. We did this to ourselves.
