Schools must become like airports, with arm security personnel, police, and metal x ray detectors. If there's money to protect a foreign country like Ukraine, there's money for OUR KIDS to be safe in their schools.

The only thing that stops a bad guy with a gun, is not to sell him a gun in the first place!!

I see people praying. I was born and raised catholic. Yet, now, I think that praying gets noone anywhere. Anything, no matter how seemingly small, one can do, to better people's mental health, is a step forward.

My deepest condolences to the families of the three children and three adults who lost their lives😭...May their souls rest in peace. I would strongly suggest that school authorities keep at least one police officer [not security guard] in each school regardless of whether they are public or private schools. The police could have intervened right there and then as the shooter shot the side entrance door down. This is very sad indeed and something has to be done by our elected officials, especially our lawmakers.

All schools need to have more security and lock out prevention from outsiders coming in. Add detectors at the front like the airport . Why isnt there a bill to approve this ....

Securing a building against attack is simple. You need strong doors and windows, and competent, armed personnel inside. If the glass doors had security film it would have delayed entry long enough for weapons to be retrieved from safes and armed personnel to engage the threat from inside the building. Most schools already have at least one or two employees who already shoot guns recreationally, why set up a program to vet them and purchase quick access safes and plate carriers? They'd probably bring their own guns even. Allow them to run training drills with airsoft guns in the school after hours with local police. This whole program wouldn't cost more than a couple grand and would be very effective.
