Mux2000 - Utopia Planitia

Utopia Planitia
by Mux2000
The seas may rise because of global warming,
And volcanoes erupt all the time.
Disease and old age take their prey in the billions,
One may think there is no hope for mankind.
There are too many weapons in too many hands,
Sometimes it keeps me awake late at night,
But then I see you there, sleeping so softly,
That I know it's gonna be allright.
You could die any day, and so could I,
But like it or not, I ain't leaving your side.
In two hundred years we'll be walking on Mars,
Through Utopia Planitia, just holding hands.
Rockets are fast but they tend to explode.
Radiation will kill you with time.
Exposure to vacuum, or the deep freezing cold,
Are just a few things that we'll need to survive.
But we'll build a small cottage - of course with a yard,
Where our great-great-great-great-grandkids can play.
We'll sit outside, when the weather is nice,
And watch the dry ice sublimating away.
You could die any day, and so could I,
But like it or not, I ain't leaving your side.
In two hundred years we'll be walking on Mars,
Through Utopia Planitia, just holding hands.
Released April 3, 2016
