So great to see that Sinaloa-style seafood has become popular in CDMX! It’s my fave style of seafood in Mexico.

The Californian influence probably means Baja California Mexico not California USA, that looks like Baja med and ensenada esque ceviche, not really Californian USA

That seafood looks so good! Its actually Sinaloa style seafood than California/Baja California influence. Baja California is known for having people from all over Mexico and it has a lot migrants and people with ancestry from Sinaloa and that’s why that type of Sinaloense seafood is popular there and evens gets confused for being Baja style but it’s not local to them or part of their state cuisine. For seafood that originated or that’s actually part of their state cuisine, Baja has fried fish tacos and Ensenada lobsters.

And to think the lovely liberals from Hollywood will never show you this part of Mexico…instead they’ll show you scenes filmed in a dusty ghost town somewhere in Southern California in the Mojave Desert…thats their idea of Mexico..but they say all day they love Mexican people

Contramar was a BIG disappointment for me. Very average food, deafening loud and obviously the restaurant only caters to tourists. I didn't see any Mexicans at all dining. There are many far better restaurants in CDMX!
