I actually did a bit of research and apparently squirrels don't take as much fall damage as most critters when they fall out of trees.
The reason is because of their small size, large surface area, and low terminal velocity. Their small size and the fact that their weight doesn't increase as quickly as their surface area means they fall more slowly.
So I guess imagine similar to cats and how they can survive falling from several story buildings.

Can you imagine if, after upgrading your tools, you eventually get to chop down an entire tree. Like imagine going to the park and finding a squirrel has cut down an entire tree and used it to build a little fortress.

I'm so excited about this game! I know you can change the colour of your squirrel, but I'm hoping for some more customisation down the road (different species, more colour/fur patterns, tail changes, etc). This game is just TOO FLIPPING CUTE.

My hubbs calls me his videogame squirrel. Cus espically in games i will be helpin him do somethin then 2 secs later im on the otherside of the world cus i dunno i just ended up there. I love this game and i wanna see more and play it myself

I like the idea better than things like goat simulator, but has some odd dev decisions.
Like using a tool instead of teeth to cut a branch. Teeth is more cute.
The trailer had actual wings on to fly, when they could have used a gliding skin flap like in real life. Done right this would be a great idea for a game.
