1. Close to town. 2. Good cell service. 3. Amazing views. Subscribed. All of those things are what I need as well as I hit the road still working full-time.

Past Ouray going towards Silverton there are a ton of free camping spots right off the highway. Great for big rigs too. Lots of toy haulers and easy access to the Alpine loop.

I was thrilled with your number #1, as that is the one on your list that I have camped at!
Turquoise lake has a great little hike around the lake; Leadville is also my favorite town for authentic “old mining town” charm! It’s not very “touristy”. The Matchless Mine is a great little visit & the history around that mine is super interesting! The old Opera House is worth a look too! Especially if you sing! The acoustics are phenomenal! We couldn’t help but jump up on stage & sing !
We also hiked to the summit of Mosquito Pass, the air gets thin as you get above timberline, but the VIEWS are stoic!! We actually got caught in a snow squall up there & it was in June! Always wise to be prepared for changing weather & be mindful of lightening! The whole area has remnants of the silver mining era, very historic and neat. Summer is the best time to go; unless you like brutal cold & deep snow!

This was so much fun to watch and learn about all the camp cites. And it’s nice to know about where you can get cell cites and WiFi hook ups. And it is beautiful scenery.Thank you so much.
See you next time. Stay safe.

neat, very informative, beautiful country. only thing i could add is a day in the life episode. i just have this thing about folks cooking, hiking, setting up solar, and the best part, the views from your front yard at the time. thank you.

Ya know, it's not like we didn't already love you guys. But as I sit here in New England on a hot June day, carefully planning our next 8 month road trip; I watch your Colorado campsite vid for the 4th time. And with many spots in CO moving away from dispersed Camping, your selections are pure gold.
If we see you two on the road, all the beer you can drink is on us. You bring pizza.

Loved the video. Great info. Beautiful scenery. Katelyn, may I please ask where you purchased your beverage container that you were holding? It looks just like what I'm needing. Thank you. 😊💝💞

Great video, been here in Colorado for 68 years, been camping, backpacking and skiing with my parents since I was literally in diapers. Prior to breaking camp they always made us kids walk the area picking up everyone else's trash, even cigarette butts. That's how I learned to leave it better than I found it. BTW- can't help but think your requirements might include Starlink and a cheap VOIP box. With work requirements it removes all your boundaries and allows for some interesting exploring. Take care.

Did a MTB bike race in Leadville in this August and rode through Turquoise Lake and looked wonderful ! Along side the race route, there are a lot of BLM sites. I have to get class B+ RV !
