This fine man is an excellent story teller. If he was a story teller back in old Singapore, I am most willing to bet that there will be a packed audience everytime he tells these stories from his younger years.
A true gem👍🏻

You know when you meet a Singaporean uncle who's above 60s and speaks pretty decent English that their stories are about to be lit 😂

My most recent ghostly encounter was at the General Hospital. It was close to midnite after I have finished visiting a ailing relative. I was on my way from the ward to the elevator, and the corridor was dead quiet and spooky. The lighting was not bright as some of the lights have been switched off to save power.

After the elevator door opened, I was about to enter when I saw a lady in patient gown standing at the far right corner. The lift was extra long as it was designed to fit in the mobile beds to ferry patients around. I can't explain why I have this uneasy feeling when I saw her. Her face was pale gray, her eyes were staring emotionless at the floor totally unaware of my presence.

I stood at the spot near the button panel and push the 'G button to go down. A while later I noticed from the corner of my eye that the lady patient was looking in my direction. Curious, I turned and looked at her. My heart missed a bit when I saw her wide open eyes staring at me! Her mouth was agape. I began to feel scared. All kinds of thoughts raced through my mind at that instant. Did this patient just escaped from the psycho ward? Her face looks terribly scary.

Then things took for the worst when she broke into an errie smile and began stumbling slowly towards me. All this while I was thinking she must be a psycho patient who was looking to harm someone. I was thinking she might be looking to scratch me with her finger nails, or she may have some sharp weapon with her. I was thinking how to defend myself in case she attacks me. In that few extremely confusing moments the lift suddenly jerks. The lift doors opened. Outside, I saw an Indian man in staff uniform waiting to push an empty mobile bed inside. I stepped aside to allow him to move the bed into the lift.

I turned and looked around for the lady patient. Surprised, she was nowhere to be seen. I swear I did not see her leaving the elevator. When the Indian staff saw me looking around, he asked me what happened. I told him that a lady patient who was with me inside the elevator had just vanished without a trace.

Unshaken by what I have told him, he said: "Sudah biasa la. Selalu ada punya"

Huh??? I replied. That means this is a normal occurrence in the hospital???

In the good old days, people tend to see hantus more frequently because the people then followed closely their ancestor's time tested belief/traditions, were very innocent, adventurous and quite brave, which makes sighting stories very exciting.

Now, in our modern society, people tend to rationalise every sighting, to eliminate any remaining doubt and try to "educate" the public with their own limited knowledge of science. "Seeing is believing" became their mantra.

As such, when Eugene invited guests, who lived through a certain time era that is now long-gone to share their personal encounters (no AI, IT or String theory then) I tend to sit up straight, turn up the volume and listen attentively.... and this is one of them.

Alot of the elderly have encountered supernatural stuff at least once. It will be good if many of them can share their stories to SC. Uncle patrick and my dad can be good friends if they met when they were younger. My dad also likes to play with trees and river back then.

Aiyoyo I am uncle Lim. I too have many ghost stories from the sixties to the eighties. To read my ghostly encounters please
refer to the past videos in the comment sections. Now I have
difficulties writing my ghost encounters after my Samsung Galaxy
19 inches tablets went belly up half year ago and I wasted many
hours writing in a 10 inch lousy China tablet that I literary give
up writing my ghost stories. I also have ghost stories from the Strait in the sixties. Many people in my generation have ghost
encounters especially the taxis drivers during the Seven month
Hungry Ghost period and also during the times when the
Government is exhuming the graves across the country. Time
where children's like me will playing marbles, catching lokang
fish, fighting spiders and flying kites and listening ghost stories
from teachers and friends. And of course borrowing alots of ghost
books from the National Library at Stanford Road. No hand phone
to play with, no Internet to google with, no television to see watch and video games to play with and many more.Bye for now.Thanks.

I saw the same tall long legged spirit when I was near the entrance of my secondary school going home at night in the late 1980s.... I caught a glimpse of it right under the lamp post beside the tennis court, its almost as tall as the lamp post ... but somehow I braced myself and continued walking past it ....

In my quick glimpse of it, I kind of saw that its wearing something like a swallow tail tuxedo attire with a tall hat ... like the guy in Darlie toothpaste ..
