Entitlement means believing you deserve something without working for it. It can make people ungrateful and blind to the blessings they already have.

The Bible warns us about entitlement. In Luke 15:11-32, the Prodigal Son learned that true blessings come from humility and gratitude.

Three Ways Entitlement Shows Up:

1. In Attitudes: Thinking, “I should always get what I want,” instead of earning it or sharing with others. This creates selfishness and dissatisfaction.

2. In Actions: Refusing to help others but expecting them to help you. This behavior makes relationships one-sided and stops teamwork from growing strong.

3. In Relationships: Expecting love or respect without giving it back. Healthy friendships and families are built on kindness, not on demanding or taking.

“Entitlement blinds you to blessings; gratitude opens your eyes to opportunities and true fulfillment.”
