As a Turkish, let me explain how did Turks get into the Anatolian peninsula:
The key Emperor here is "Seljuk Emperor". They were consisting of Turks and entered the Anatolian by winning the Malazgirt War in 1071 against Byzantine. After the victory, they conquered the inner parts very quickly. But after Seljuk collapse, the Ottoman Empire emerged and took the Islam flag, and continued to spread Islam in Istanbul, Greece, and the Balkan countries.

When Sultan Muhammed al-Fatih (Fatih Sultan Mehmet in Turkish) conquered the center of Istanbul, the Byzantine Emperor that is named as Eastern Roman Empire completely disappeared from the scene of the history, and the world started "The New Age" by saying goodbye to "Medieval".

This is so fascinating. Growing up I never knew about the Russian/European Muslims or that there were Chinese Muslims. In my late teens I started to learn that Islam touched every part of the globe. So I am excited to learn more and how it happened. If you would do more videos like this I would certainly watch. By the way, I love Omar of the Orient's channel. Assalaamu aleikum. We speak Turkish in Türkiye. We are mostly from Oghuz branch of Turks. As Mahmut the kashgary wrote in divan-i lügat et Türk(which is the first dictionary like book in Turkish history) Oghuz Turks speaks the most easy Turkish in all Turkic branches and kipchaks speak the most heavy Turkic language but even a Turk from Anatolia and the any other Turkic folks leave a month or two together they communicate very well. May Allah reward you for your efforts and keeps all the Muslims on the right path till the last breath.

4:48 Pretty much after the conquest of Anatolia by the Seljuks (and later Turkic Beyliks) the natives were gradually Islamized and assimilated into the Turkish nation. This is why Turkish people today have a much more European appearance than a Central Asian one.
