How to Reserve your YouTube Handle @Howfinity Get yours before someone else does

YouTube just rolled out YouTube handles, which is a new way to share your channel across YouTube. You can reserve a unique handle for your channel and share it using the @ symbol and then the channel handle.

This is similar to your name on other social platforms like Instagram and TikTok.

You can use the YouTube handle in the description, title, and comment section. It will also make your YouTube shorts a lot easier to access with a clickable handle.

Thanks! But nothing shows up for "Handle" on my YouTube Channel page or in my YouTube Studio - under Customization or Basic Info or anywhere. I think only certain people are being allowed access to handle naming or reserving right now. I only started populating my channel with content in Jy 2022 & I only have 18 subscribers.

Unless you have a minimum of 100 subs & can choose a custom url, you can't reserve a handle right now

No option on my other channel to do this. I have 2, 500 subs as well, but no option do create a handle yet. Sucks

this is Formerly youtube username and also @ is used as mention and if your on mobile you will see the mention section on your Notification area

When I follow your instructions, I don't see a place where I can see or pick a handle, although I tried the handle with the name of my channel and it worked. I guess it's default

'id'd'with same handle? Why do we need this new feature, couldn't we
just have priority for our names via the time stamp of when we created
our channel? Not seeing how this is better than just doing that, or what the
real reason behind the feature is?

So far I'm able to get only ONE handle,
I have multiple channels, but have only
been benn able to choose a handle
for one channel.
They actually offered the chance to add
a handle on another channel, but when
I clicked for that option it defaulted back
to the one that I'd already chosen a
handle for.
