I think some brands are definitely able to be combined but direct competitors like nike and adidas is like wearing two teams logos at the same time. NB is kinda neutral to me but thats mostly because I only associate them with their shoes.

I don’t mind mixing brands like Nike with new balance, adidas with champion etc but only if the brands aren’t rivals like adidas and Nike. I’d never wear adidas socks with Nike shoes for example. But that’s just me. I regularly wear Nike huaraches with a new balance hoodie and shorts
