Looking at the 11m (27Mhz-28Mhz) SIGMA Euro-Comm AM PRO HF Antenna plus a simple signal test Vs. a 4ft Triple-load antenna back to the base station. Antenna is £23.95 delivered from eBay (June 2020) and is made here in the UK.

Those Ampro whips are superb for static mobile use, I too started with an Ampro 20 after Tim's recommendation also. I ended up buying two more as well the Ampro 40 and 80. Fantastic antennas indeed and after this video i'll be investing in this antenna you have too! nice one Gary, atb and 73' mate.

Hi Gary - I've got an am pro 11 antenna as well. I've only used it once since Lockdown but it performs very well - looking forward to see how it fares v the tank whip and the 7 ft thunderstick! ATB Rob

My AM PRO 10 mtr tunes down perfectly on 11mtrs and as you said, it's way too long to keep on the car but it is one of the better ones . Nice vid Gary.

I have a mfj 10 m stick and it will work on 27mhz with a bit of adjustment good aerials

I just got this antenna from Sigma Euro-Comm. Some OM's recommended this antenna and finally I bought it directly from the Ebay shop. The delivery was very fast and well packed. 👍I wanna use this antenna as balcony antenna. Mostly all people are using the car as a counter-poise. I am trying to bring this antenna to fly and I am looking for a feasible counter-poise material: Iron Sheet, Copper Foil. Are there some expierences of material and sizes, dimensions? 73 de 13RF764
