I love how you use the compression of the sponge to show how much or little force you use as you’re sanding. That visual makes a more powerful statement than simply saying “Im using very little pressure”. Great job.

Bro, Ive been doing headlight restorations through my detail business for 25+ years. Your method cuts my time by OVER I used to do 500 to 2500 grit in steps..500, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, 2500 hand sanding, then coating or polish (depending on customer preference and budget) Thank you for your vids, you da man bud! That Trizac 3000 pad!!!! Thank you so much, that pad is the $hizzz!!!

Another great lesson learned is the light touch and feel of each sanding step and recognizing the residue color and amazing.

You sir are the Shifu of headlight restoration. If you start a school, I'm pretty sure every dealer in the country will send at least three of their employees to take your course. Keep up the good work.

I am encouraged by your method as dry sanding looks to be more able to "gauge" the material your removing. I wet sand and have done a fair amount of headlights in my local area, however consistency is always a challenge. I will work on learning your method as I want to get the best results for my clients.

I've watched all your videos and have soaked up so much knowledge! This video is up there in your top 3 because you've taken the time to show and explain every little step. Thanks so much for all your work and behind the scenes stuff you do!

I have to try this, I am a mechanic but always loved detailing cars, I have the best buffers, compounds, and a seperate pad for each compound, I did a black 1964 GTO with original paint, no one else would touch it, a 120, 000 dollar car it looked like a mirror, but when I buff and wax newer cars they look great then a month later the headlights are foggy, I did try sanding them starting with 320 and progressively getting to 2, 000 and using a gloss clear ceramic engine enamel, this did work pretty well they look good for a few years but with all the water sanding and drying time it takes 3 hours, so glad I found this, now I can do it faster and better

I received all of my restoration products from Amazon. I am going to do the headlights today on my wifes Lexus. I have watched many if not all. I am a bit scared but needing more courage. Maybe I should start my learning curve by doing her sisters older Honda first. I will post my progress when finished.

Great info… I’ve been told to apply coating when headlights are still slightly foggy… when I try this product gonna follow your tutorial 👊🏻👊🏻👊🏻

Getting ready to do this for the 1st time. Great tutorial. Thank you!

Kinda suprised you're able to go directly from 800 to 3000 & that you don't use DA sanding on the final step.

Awesome as usual, clear clean and concise direction demonstrated beautifully. Thank you for teaching me.

Should you use two P500 and P800 disc pads per headlight? So you minimize pad buildup on each?

I've double coated using that coating, but that was before I discovered your channel and I totally understand why you shouldn't do it! It causes like a frosted look on the lens instead of a crystal clear look, it really sucks haha! I ordered everything and they should be here Friday, I'm pretty excited! I was thinking of putting together an aftercare kit that I can offer to my customers for like 25 bucks, just to make some extra cash. What do you think brotha?
