What is it like when your sibling has epilepsy? It can be late-night runs to the hospital, sharing parental attention in a whole new way, or constant concern about when the next seizure may come.

Epilepsy’s impact reaches beyond the individuals it affects – sisters and brothers who grow up around epilepsy are shaped in many ways by this condition. In this episode of Seizing Life, CURE Epilepsy Board Members Michael Axelrod and Marilynn Gardiner discuss the challenges and learnings they experienced growing up with siblings impacted by epilepsy.

Well it fucking sucks, what'd it be like? My mother has epilepsy and as if that wasn't enough, a small mental retardation. I really can't believe i came to the world to bear with this.
