He looked down at you and chuckles. You can feel your face getting bright red. “Well, I don’t think I’ll be able to hike while carrying you, it’s a little too steep. How about we go back down and I’ll get your ankle fixed up love?” E/n asked, which caused a thousand thoughts to flood your mind “did he just call me love?”, “Wait, I thought he hated me, why is he being nice?”
You snapped back into reality as e/n cleared his throat. “You ok?” He asked looking down at you, with a genuine look of concern, which was confusing you more, because after all, he was your enemy, but all the sudden he was being… nice?
“Um y-yeah I’m fine, we can head back down.”
“Ok, let me text b/n and h/n real quick, then we can head down, alright?” E/n asked
“Um yea, ok” you said in return, still trying to think about everything going on.
“Ok, let’s go.” E/n said as he started walking back.
The first 20 minutes were silent, neither you or e/n said anything, and there was an akward silence between the two of you. The sound of e/n’s phone buzzing with a text broke the silence, and with an attempt to make the walk a little more enjoyable, you tried to spark up a conversation.
“Hey, don’t you wanna answer that, it could be important?”
“Nah, it’s probably just b/n responding”
“Oh, ok”
You both stayed quiet for a moment, before you asked him another question. “E/n?”
“Hm?”
“I thought you hated me, but suddenly, you being so nice, and it’s kinda confusing me. So do you hate me or no?”
“Oh y/n, of course not. You may not be my favorite person in the world, but i definitely don’t hate you. And the reason I’m being nice to you is because even though you may not be my favorite person, I still do care about you. Also, your boyfriend’s an @sshole and wasn’t going to do anything, so I had to step in and help. Seriously though, you deserve better than him.”
His words made you heart flutter, and you weren’t sure why, you hated him, so why is he making you feel this way? Or do you hate him?
