David Cameron is asked about the past progressive tense, conjunctives and modal verbs by Caroline Lucas at Prime Minister's questions. The Green MP suggested the PM could help 10 and 11-year-olds as she asked about SATs tests for primary school children, while the prime minister said he was proud his three children had been to state schools.

She's right. pedantic course materials impede overall learing. Cameron missed the point.

If Mr Cameron is right, kids should copy his answer into their exams.

Honestly, I think I would really have liked to have been taught this at school. Grammar education in the UK was utter crap when I was at school. I felt like an imbecile going overseas, attempting to learn foreign languages, and facing all these things that I didn't know I didn't know.

it's fascinating from a scientific point of view - how idiots can be totally liberal about economics but utterly conservative on education and vice versa

Failed on every policy, other than selling more of the public assets to his chums.

I'm no fan of Cameron, but it's very childish to ask questions like this in such a setting.

Look sorry as someone who has to take the new GCSE's I like the fact that hard working kids are paid off and the Kid's who couldn't give two shits fail and and only idiots would disagree.

It's not harder tests that would make us more clever. IT'S A BETTER FLIPPING EDUCATION SYSTEM THAT WOULD! (Sorry for the incorrect use of an exclamation mark).

Never understood the English accent. We name the language after them; you think that they would talk it more good.

Cameron's legacy would be huge if he removes "progressives", "perfects", "participles", and other bad things from English.
