We all know S70 is in between B & C segment but some how some of the car reviewer seem cannot accept Proton market S70 in C segment and still review it as a B segment car.

10:07 Malaysians taking pride in owning Honda & Toyota cars is a really weird (and honestly weak) flex. Those are still economy/budget branded cars. Lexus then different story la. They are great at reliability, and really nothing much else. Overseas (outside of SEA), these are literally beater cars with zero ego boosting value. If wanna boast, buy from a brand 1 tier up (Hyundai/Kia/Mazda) then ok la can accept.

i have a flagship blue S70 after 2 weeks with the car, i noticed some flaws :

1. Interior trims could be improved, just look at the windshield linings where cloth meets glass. Horrible.
2. Pressing accelerator from standstill sometimes feels off, either it lunges forward /wheelspin or there is too much travel.
3. Proton's built in GPS, just horrible. It feels outdated, some locations are not even available compared to Waze.

4. A/C adjustment, auto mode is bad. A lot of fiddling with the A/C to get the suitable temps.

Other than that, i Love this car, and it is a head turner for sure.

for me, if its money worth it then its good... No need to think much about segments, wheel base, tire sizes and stuff. If its fulfill its purposes and efficient then its good...the brand name is not even the issue nowadays...

Guys.. considering to get this car.. can any S70 owners pls share your feedback on the fuel consumption & service centre experience pls? If either one is bad, how did you guys mitigate? I’m not bothered much on the engine sound, looks (subjective to others, but I personally love it), or gear selection but upif there are any other issues that u encountered that I should know and ur willing to share. Kasi tlg share feedback sikit.. plsss a humble request

I went to the Proton showroom and found out that the higher-spec S70 model in Brunei doesn’t come with body kits, despite costing $423 BND monthly for 7 years (1470 RM). This was a bit of a turn-off for me, so I chose the Mazda 3 instead. I've owned it for almost a month now, and it runs really great.
