Everyone thinks this happened in a week without looking over the last 18months. The Taliban had control of half of Afghanistan six months ago in news headlines. It feels like it was done on purpose, that the focus needed to be on China, it was executed so badly I’m ashamed to say I’m American. Atleast Afghanistan wasn’t in a terrible state from a civil war, it could be worse.
The former government was so corrupt I almost prefer the Taliban but I’m not Afghan and I have no idea what I’m talking about, I just hope they don’t do barbaric stuff to their people and stick to their word on forgiveness. This could happen with desperation of being recognized as legitimate
