Mawa barfi is something you should definitely try out at this festive season. Khoya barfi gets prepared instantly in microwave.
Ingredients
Mawa – 250 grams (1 cup)
Powdered sugar – 125 grams (½ cup)
Pistachios – 8-10
Green cardamom powder – ½ tsp
Directions
Getting ready:
1.Thinly slice the pistachios and keep them in a bowl.
Making:
2.Microwave the mawa in a microwave safe bowl for 3 minutes, stir after every minute. Later, add powdered sugar in slightly warm mawa along with green cardamom powder and mix thoroughly.
3.Transfer and spread the mixture on a greased plate and sprinkle some pistachios on top. Press them with the back of a spoon and let the barfi set. After an hour, cut the desired size barfi pieces and heat the plate to separate the barfi easily. Mawa barfi are ready, take them out on a plate.
Serving:
4.Serve these delectable mawa barfi after refrigerating them.
Suggestions
If we roast mawa on flame then we have to keep stirring it continuously. In the same way, when we are roasting it in microwave then take it out at regular intervals and stir with a spoon.
After roasting mawa, you can place it inside the refrigerator to cool it down quickly. You can do this when you are in hurr.
