I know it’s not for everyone, but if you’re comfortable investing in an experience, the quality of the game is worth it to me. Played it with 8 around a large table and it was the hit of the party. The cool thing is both versions are available so to each their own. No need to bash those who are willing to buy it or those who think it’s too expensive for what it does.

Addressing other comments here: I Kickstarted it and for a deluxe oversized and OPTIONAL edition of the game, the $89 I spent was well-worth it to me.

Obviously this is catering to the MANY fans of the game begging for a bigger version for the past few years and they delivered.

Value is subjective and just because you don't think something is worth it for your use case, that doesn't mean you need to speak for everyone.

I'm glad when these versions get made. No: they are not for everyone. But there might be a game down the line that *IS*. Wouldn't it be nice if publishers saw that this model was viable to make money and did MORE of these? I think so. Great video Dan!

I bought this after the kickstarter and then remembered why I chose not to back the KS. Upon opening the box, my initial impression was that this is an edition for family reunions. It’s over the top big and every component is well made. It’s also heavy. I just think I’m probably going to want to bring my small box version to game nights instead of lugging around this thing. I do think it’s a modern classic game that I intend to own forever. Until Hot Streak releases…. No jk. Maybe.

I got the original version based on your and others recommendation. Fun game although it hasn’t come to the table as often as I’d like. This big box version looks beautiful. I do think the horse racing mat and horses are undersized in the original. We printed a slightly bigger map. Unfortunately, I don’t think this one gets to the table enough to justify the purchase of the big box version. Great to look at on the video, though.

I've got this game in plain, and I gotta tell you we never ever playing with those horses. It is much more fun for all to watch it on big screen TV. And this deluxe version is way too much money for what you get.

We play this once a year, at Christmas. Definitely not worth all that money.
