I think the answer depends on how competitive your niche is if you're trying to rank, I think people are worried because if the point is to RANK then to be competitive you need to spend more, possibly, due to the competition in the niche. BUT I guess if a low amount does not work, then the niche is too competitive. That's my two cents. Still learning. Only one book published. But I do have experience with ads on Merch by Amazon as well.
