AirPods 2 Teardown!

The last time we opened up a pair of AirPods, we had to use a dremel to crack into the case. These new AirPods have been updated with a wireless charging case and a new H1 chip, but they look pretty much the same as the last ones. Maybe Apple has hidden some super repairable secrets inside? Let's tear them down to find out.

Ok it takes one hell of a tech geek person to actually modify or upgrade their wireless headset. Ppl buy this kind of stuff to use and dispose. Im 99% sure that non of the ppl in the comments that actually wants to upgrade or service their samsung buds in its lifespan. But haters hates anyway.

I like my AirPods 2, but I’ve had a troubled history with the microphones going out (e.g. cannot make calls, use Hey Siri, etc.). I am now on my 6th pair (thank you Apple Care). Each time I take them in to the Apple Store they bench test them, find the microphones are indeed not working, and replace them. I’ve asked each time why my microphones keep going out and all I get are shoulder shrugs. I’ve even asked if they’ve seen this issue with other people’s AirPods and, again, shoulder shrugs. I can’t believe I’m the only person out there with repeatedly failing microphones. I’m wondering if you or anyone else might have any insights to what is happening.

Have you considered a teardown of the new Jaybird Tarah Pros? I'm really curious as to how repairable they are. Plus they're now a Logitech subsidiary so I expect a lot.
