In small towns or remote sites calibration lab facility may not be available. In these situations the technician can use a decade box for calibration of his low range ohm meters like earth tester, ohm meter or multi meter. The decade box should be already calibrated one.
Please do not buy decade resistance box online. You will be cheated. Instead buy assorted resistors of 1% accuracy and solder them in parallel and serial to suit your needs.
