People have to learn that actions have consequences. They can't expect to drive dangerously and not get pulled over. If the parents didn't want their kids to end up dead they should raise them properly and deter them from behaving illegally. Honestly, I can't understand why the police are being criticized for doing their job. Seems like a bunch of thugs in Cardiff.

Firstly, condolences to all the survivors.

Am I missing something here? Kids being chased by the police, ie, failing to stop and fleeing from the police, two up, on an e-bike, are involved in a fatal accident, with a bus? Which is down to the police? And as a consequence, people decide to trash the place they live?

Here's what people outside of Ely can't possibly comprehend: Ely police, or more specifically the Canton branch, (as it was), was ALWAYS a dumping ground for the detritus of the Sourh Wales police, and for decades they've been given free rein. They've abused the public trust, and they've physically abused the public on an individual basis and as often as they're able.
Also, growing up in that area I can attest that I've lost a few friends over the years, (especially when in my youth), in road traffic collisions wherein the police have claimed that either "there was a pursuit, but we were not speeding and remaining at a safe distance/we were in the process of calling it off", or "there was no pursuit; we were just fortunate to arrive on scene within a few short moments of the collision." And the same circumstances arise here. No pursuit: arrived on scene by sheer coincidence.
The trouble is that when a coincidence happens repeatedly, that's a pattern. I'd say it was fair to expect some push back.

If the kids were up to no good, then blame them not the police!! What is this world coming to when criminals rule and the police just have to sit and watch or they will be criticised.
Parents need to install more discipline and respect, kids now days have none just entitlement!
