I'm 8wks. Why was it hard to find my baby's heartbeat by transvaginal ultrasound? Will I miscarry?

You mentioned that you went to your 8 week appointment, your doctor tried to find the heartbeat using a transvaginal ultrasound and had a difficult time, and they want you to come back in a couple of weeks, and do a follow-up ultrasound, and make sure everything is okay. You're concerned, and of course, looking for some reassurance. It's good that you're following up with your doctor, and they'll be your best resource, because for one, when they do a repeat ultrasound, they can compare the fetal size at that point to how big your baby was at 8 weeks, and make sure they're growing properly, and that they're on trend, and of course, also look for the heartbeat.

I think miracles can happen because I know for a fact that from my last cycle I should be far along than I am. There was no baby. So I had to come back week after week. Went to church and got prayer for one thing and God did a miracle for me. I measure differently from my due date. Keep your faith!!

I'm a partner of a pregnant woman with almost 8weeks embryo. She does not cramp, no bleeding, no subchorionic bleeding as of late. Her previous ultrasound had some SC bleeding and the OB was adamant to take off the embryo. We declined and asked for another opinion and when the new oB sonologist performed the scan, there were no SC bleeding so she gave us one more week. I'm ambivalent because my girlfriend is not feeling sick at all. She used to feel nauseous during the first few weeks. anyway, waiting is agonizing but I have been acting as if everything is fine as to not scare her. I am preparing for the worst but if a miracle happens, I'll get back here.

I just had my second ultrasound first they could only see gestational sac one week later they could see a little fetus but could not detect a heartbeat..I cant say i'm not worried, but I think its a good sign that there was a pretty big difference between the weeks!

I went to my first sonogram they didn’t find a heart beat said to come back nd do a repeat in a week they also gave me a due date of June 11th i went back for a second sonogram nd the fetus measured the same as the week before 8 weeks on the nose fast forward here I am today still pregnant 11 weeks nd 3 days nd no signs of miscarriage idk what to do i have back pain but that’s about it

I think it's different for many. I had an ultrasound 6 weeks 5 days and no heartbeat. They told me not to worry at all. They said many times the heart beat doesn't appear till after 7 weeks. I'd say if you saw a flicker it's a good sign. ❤

Well, i was supposed to be 8 weeks and 5 days along baby married 7 weeks and 4 days... they said no fetal heartbeat. They sent me off with just numbers for dnc no follow up or anything.

My wife is pregnant almost 10 weeks now. we did our first check up test come positive but no heart beat found after that we did our first ultra sound same result no heartbeat but there is fetal pole & yolk sac is identified. Then after two weeks check up with doc and same result. Doc suggest it’s the pregnancy is not normal it’s better you can abort. But we are waiting for one more week then we will do again ultrasound if there is still no sign of heart beat then we will thing of doc suggestion but figure 🤞🏻hope this time heart beat come.

I had an appointment at 8 weeks of pragnant. They found nothing. Did my blood test and my progesterone level is low. They suggest me to take progesterone medicine and called me after 1 week. Does progesterone really helps? I have an appointment on coming Wednesday. I am nervous
