Kappo kakko might challenge Hughes, it's not as clear cut as button thinks it is.

All I have to say is, Kotkanemi played against men last year and he is arguably the biggest surprise of the draft taken at #3. All the analysts had him much later than that in the first round. Kakko will be similar to Kotkanemi draft wise, with alot more raw talent. The 2019 draft is going to be very interesting

I said it a year ago, and I'll say it now. Detroit is winning the Jack Hughes sweepstakes

Sorry, but I don't see it with Hughes. The kid is a terrific skater skating circles around defenders and passing the puck well, but... his shot is very weak and goes all over the place, by far the worst of any 'top' pick I've seen. I don't see a killer instinct or a cutting edge. There is no physical game from what I can tell, and so on. However, he is an American and he 'makes his team mates better' which is obvious since he is skating well in a handpicked setup. Too much hype I'm afraid. If I had the top pick I would be extremely careful and thorough in my evaluation of Hughes. If he doesn't go number 1 where does he go in the draft? He could fall a fair bit if you look past the hype.
