Getting into astronomy, I'm attracted to star clusters. Was figuring they'd also be good targets for photography with some of the "less pricey" cameras.

I am wonder for newton reflector telescope 76 mm mirror focal length 700 mm with 1.5 erecting eyepiece and 5x Barlow lens I am hard time finding setting to clear images all i am getting black screen. Using a sv105 camera took nice moon shot but no planetary or deep sky shot just black screen.

I have the svbony 205, and I cant even see stars in sharpcap. Even with exposure all the way up. Then again my skyportal mount cant even stay accurate, as I will tell it to go to a certain planet and it'll work the first couple times, then it will eventually start to get less and less accurate til eventually it will go no where near I asked it to go. So frustrating, trying not to let this be a hobby killer, as I already have quite a bit of money invested so far.
