I'm surviving 7 days by only Dumpster Diving. I am starting off with only the clothes on my back. No home to sleep. No car. No food. No drink. I can only survive by flipping what I find in the dumpsters. This is day 2 of the series. This will be the most challenging series that I have worked on my ConnorTV channel. I can't wait to share this with you. Please leave a comment on tips on what I should do. Check out Day 1 video link below. I have filmed a dumpster dive video and I went to the Apple store, Wallmart, Best Buy and Ulta dumpsters. I was able to find some good stuff. See video below.

If you are new to my channel I started with a Penny to trade up to a Tesla there are over 50 episodes to the trade up challenge. I have traded PS5 PlayStation 5, iPhone 13, Air Jordan, Off White, coins, jewelry, sneakers, guitars and even a rare Pokemon Charizard! This is a trade up challenge which started from the original idea of the paperclip challenge and the trading a paperclip for a house. See my other trade up series links below.

What a salesman.
Shop owner: We don´t take shoes.
Connor: Today you do.
Shop owner: We do?
Connor: You do! You do?
Shop owner: We do.

I would have kept the truck and just bought a cheap sleeping bag, pillow and even blanket. Those three would have set me back 50 bucks MAX and I'd be set for the rest of the week. The van is a roof over the head, transport, haulage, electricity, the works. For $20 a day, that is a great deal. Without the van, he'll be really limited in what he can carry. Bad move!

It helps if you live near a large college campus. I have always lived within the shadow of a large university. The "kids" throw out so many perfectly good items. Sometimes their discards are brand new and clean. I have found real leather jackets, tons of nice shirts, cool hats. My best find was a one year old, computer stereo system, with a bass box. I use it with my computer, presently and it retailed at Micro Center, for $120.00. I found kitchen cutlery, ....(knives, forks, & new, and I use them every day.) I have furniture, chairs, lamps, and wall art all clean and ready to enjoy. I'm old, ....I'm 70. I did most of my trash can diving in my 30s through my 60s. Now I have to pass on doing that, even though I see amazing, stuff. I found a 1930s, Art Deco desk, that I still use. A 1900s, solid oak desk, I restored, and still use. Most of my causal kitchen chairs are from the 1950s, all collectible (now), that I use in my house every day, that I found in the trash, in the 1980s. I found an all intact, marching band uniform, from the 1960s. It was a custom made jacket with built in shoulder pads, and lots of gold trim. I sold it to a nice (2nd time around clothing store) for $40.00.

You need a bigger t-shirt, that one looks a bit tight.

This is fun and all only three things in a van. I was legitimately homeless living out of a Toyota pickup truck. Surviving out of scrap metal and stuff I found in the dumpster. There's a grave difference between what you're doing and what I was living. Sorry to bring it up but it needed to be said.

The lizard rock was one of my favorite finds and I'm sure it could sell well if he took it. But we can't even imagine how exhausting this dumpster adventure must be, it's hard enough to find stuff, selling them is also complicated.

Lol 100% you’re not allowed to sleep in storage units, I can’t wait to see if you get away with that the rest of the week. This is some of the best content you’ve put out in a while! Love it!

Should have kept the switch. Games included. That's an awesome find.

If you’re looking to make money from dumpster diving for cardboard, here’s what you might get: Recycling centers pay around $0.02 to $0.10 per pound, which can add up if you gather a lot. Selling directly to artists or small businesses could fetch $5 to $10 per large sheet in good condition, while movers sometimes buy used boxes for $1 to $2 each. Upcycling marketplaces are another option if you’re willing to put in some prep work. Overall, clean and well-kept cardboard has some value, but it takes volume to make decent cash!

That pawn shop took you for a ride. You could have flipped the switch on Facebook Marketplace super fast for that much alone. The camera at least $20-40 or a lot more depending on the model, the TV you could have flipped for 25-30 really quick and the game could have flipped quickly. Don't flip stuff at a pawn shop they'll give you like 10% of what it's worth and they act like they're doing you a favor.
